Climb on the roof of Africa, a Seven Summit and Seven Volcanoes Trophy!

Day 1: Arriving in Africa
Pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport.

Days 2 to 7: Ascend on Kilimanjaro
We will use Machame route, considered the most beautiful access to the summit. Accommodation will be in tents provided by our agency. We’ll have porters that will carry most of our luggage as well as food and camping equipment, and also a chef.
We’ll be accompanied by 1-3 local english speaking guides and, according with the size of the group.

Day 2: Machame Hut 3020m
We will start by crossing the tropical forest to Machame Hut (3000m). The trail takes about 4h.

Day 3: Shira Camp 3847m
We leave the forest reaching the alpine Shira Plateau, where we will encounter special vegetation, notably the huge Lobelia, as well as the delicate Impatiens Kilimanjari. The route to the Shira camp (3500m) takes about 4h.

Day 4: Barranco Camp 3984m
Today the route climbs at about 4600m near a cliff called the "lava tower" and then drops back to approximately 3900m in the beautiful Barranco camp. (the route takes about 6 hours)

Day 5: Barafu Camp 4681m
In the morning We’ll climb the "breakfast wall", the only area requiring a little climb, we’ll cross Karanga valley and then climb to Barafu camp (4600m), the last stop before the final assault. At this altitude the vegetation disappears, leaving the place of rocks and ice. We won’tt cross glaciers, so no  need crampons or special boots.

Day 6: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak 5895m – Mweka camp 3090m
We’ll start very early (0: 00 ÷ 2: 00 a.m.), climbing more easily on the frozen ground, and also to reach the peak before the fog rise from tropical forest. This climb is a test of endurance, into the thin air. We'll climb about 6h to the edge of the Kibo crater and then, on a much gentle slope, another hour to the highest point in Africa: Uhuru Peak (5895m).
We’ll see the superb sunrise spectacle from an altitude of almost 6000m. Once we have enjoyed the view and celebrated the success, we’ll begin the descend to Barafu camp which will take about 3h. There we’ll take a lunch break and continue downhill to Mweka camp, where we’ll overnight.
